Baška enchants with its untouched nature, karst and stone, and rich tradition. More than 120 km of well-maintained and marked hiking and mountaineering trails provide active guests with an incredible experience with views that reward their efforts.
This year's 'Rocky hill hike tour' takes you to the eastern Baška ridge, an interesting trail marked by a large number of karst phenomena. The rocky landscape, interwoven with kilometers of shepherd's dry stone walls, will take you to places from which you can enjoy unreal views of the coves of Vela and Mala Luka, the island of Prvić, and the Velebit ridge.
After registering and gathering participants in front of the Heritage Hotel Forza, we set off together along the coastal promenade in the direction of the Bunculuka campsite. Following the trail that leads along the edge of the karst coast, our attention will be drawn to numerous coves, beaches, and cliffs. After 8 km of flat but rocky terrain, we reach one of the most beautiful and picturesque coves on the island - Vela Luka.
This is the perfect place to relax with the sound of the waves. The return to Baška follows a climb to the Rebica viewpoint and the intersection of the Vrženica canyon.
We continue through a landscape dominated by bare pastures enclosed by high dry stone walls, the work of the hardworking shepherds of Krk. Through narrow passages and dry stone walls we return to the campsite and then to the center of Baška.
