Most of the walking trails on the island of Krk can also be used for cycling. In fact, thanks to the speedy way of life and day-to-day stress, even more attention is given to active holidays and to cycling in particular. Apart from the recreational aspect, the aim is to extend the tourist season.

So, many different events are held on the island of Krk such as “Spring on wheels”, an event whose aim is to promote Krk's cycling routes which are suitable for scooter, bike and quad tours, and "I love the autumn –Bodul bike", a recreational bike race through the walking paths of the city of Krk with fitting entertainment programme.

Apart from those along the shore, that is the paths known as “lungomare” (seafront), cycling routes also pass through the internal part of the island along with the traffic routes.

Along the new reconstructed traffic route from Krk towards Malinska a cycling track has been created, which is divided by green line. It is extended on the section from the crossroads to Valbiska to the entrance into the city of Krk.
